LASER RESURFACING Laser skin resurfacing is a non-surgical treatment aimed at eradicating lines and wrinkles and improving the appearance of facial blemishes, from sun damage to acne scarring. During a CO2 laser resurfacing treatment, short pulses of light energy are directed beneath the skin's surface to stimulate collagen production, at the same time as the top layer of skin cells is removed...
The second most popular treatment in the western world, dermal fillers provide an elegant solution to help improve facial irregularities.
The most commonly used fillers are made from a substance called Hyaluronic Acid which occurs naturally in the body, particularly the skin. It has a unique property in that it can bind many times it weight in water.
We use the Allergan range of products such as Juvederm, VOLUMA™, Juvederm VOLBELLA™, Juvederm VOLIFT™ & HYDRATE™
The products have different consistencies and are used for different indications.
VOLUMA™ for instance, as the name suggests, is used to bulk up areas such as sunken cheeks.
HYDRATE™ is not a filler in the true sense but can be used to replenish the water binding property of the skin and plump it up.
Fillers can be used for:
Lips that appear thin, even in younger patients can be filled to enhance the pout and improve the profile.
VOLUMA™ has been injected into the cheek to increase the fullness in the cheek. This also has the effect of lifting the midface and decreasing the appearance of the naso-labial fold.
Filling Deep Lines
A weak or recessed chin adversely affects the profile and can accentuate jowls and blunt the jaw line. 2ml of VOLUMA™ has been injected directly into the chin with obvious improvement
And also to hydrating damaged skin.
The products contain anaesthetic so they are relatively painless but for nervous patients we can apply numbing cream before hand.
Dermal filler treatments require a practitioner with experience and skill – Dr Tapan has been treating patients successfully for over ten years.
