Acne Scars
A common consequence of poorly treated acne is the formation of scars.
There are many different types of scars but they can be divided into 3 main types:
1. Atrophic scars - meaning there is a loss of tissue. These are often seen as shallow depressions or tiny holes on the skin (ice-pick) scars.
2. Hypertrophic scars - where there is excessive tissue formed such as in a keloid scar.
3. Pigmented scars - more common in darker skinned individuals.
Regardless of the type of scar, we have treatments designed to improve the appearance of the face.
